The problem

That contractor abroad?
A court might call them your employee.

If someone works full-time, on your schedule, for you alone, most countries say that's employment, no matter what the invoice says. The bill for getting it wrong lands on you.

3–5Γ—

Misclassification penalties

Back taxes, social contributions, severance, and fines typically run a multiple of whatever contracting "saved."

IP

Who owns the work?

Cross-border contractor IP clauses are often unenforceable. Without a local employment contract, the work may not legally be yours.

PE

Permanent establishment

A contractor doing core business for you abroad can create a taxable corporate presence in that country.

How it works

You hired them. We employ them.

An employer of record gives your hire a fully compliant local employment contract without you opening an entity. They work for you. On paper, they work for us, and everything that comes with that is our problem.

Tell us the country and the role

We'll come back with the exact cost and a start date.

We issue a compliant local contract

In the local language where required, with the work and the IP assigned to your company from day one. In most countries, your hire starts within days of the paperwork being signed.

One flat invoice. We carry the liability.

You manage the person and their work. We carry the employment: the contracts, the filings, and the liability.

Quick check

Do you need EOR?

Honest answer: not everyone does. Past a certain size and depth in one country, owning the entity wins. Eight questions, one recommendation.

Question 1 of 8

1How many people will you employ in this one country over the next 2–3 years?

2Will you sign local customer contracts, hold inventory or real estate, or need a local VAT registration?

3Are you in a heavily regulated industry, or bidding on government tenders where the legal employer's name matters?

4Can you spend $10K–$50K+ up front and wait 2–6 months before your first hire starts?

5When do you need your hire working?

6Are you still validating this market?

7Who should carry local labor-law, tax, and payroll compliance?

8How are your hires spread?

Thresholds from public EOR-vs-entity comparisons (Workwell Global, Toku, Teamed, Safeguard Global), 2025–26. Not tax or legal advice.

Cost calculator

Up to how many employees is EOR cheaper?

Pick a country and your headcount there. Salary and statutory employer costs are identical either way (passed through at cost), so the real comparison is our flat fee against what an entity costs to open and run.

Common questions

Everything people ask before switching

What exactly is an employer of record?
A company that legally employs your hire in their country so you don't have to open a local entity. We hold the employment contract and carry the compliance obligations. You direct the person's day-to-day work, exactly like any other member of your team.
What do I actually pay?
The flat monthly fee for the country tier, plus the employee's gross salary and statutory employer costs, passed through at cost on one invoice. No percentage markups on salary.
Who owns the work and the IP?
You do. The employment contracts assign all work product and IP to your company from day one.
How fast can someone start?
In most countries, within days of the paperwork being signed. Countries with registration or notice requirements can take longer. Tell us the country and we'll give you a real date.
Can you find the person too?
Yes. That's our core business: tested, AI-fluent professionals from a 400,000+ network, employed by us and embedded in your team.
What happens at termination, and who carries the risk?
We handle compliant exits, including notice periods and severance rules by country.
What is contractor misclassification and why does it matter?
If someone works full-time, on your schedule, only for you, most countries treat them as an employee regardless of the invoice. Reclassification means back taxes, contributions, severance, and fines. EOR removes that exposure by making the employment real and local.
Can you convert my existing contractors?
Yes. We move them onto compliant local contracts without disrupting their net pay. Tell us the country and we'll come back with the exact cost and a start date.
How is EOR different from a PEO or staffing agency?
A staffing agency supplies and manages workers. A PEO co-employs and requires you to own a local entity. An EOR is the full legal employer where you have no entity, and you keep day-to-day management.
How do benefits work?
Statutory benefits (healthcare, pension, leave, and everything else local law requires) are included and administered by us.
How is my employee's data protected?
What about equity, bonuses, and probation?
What if we open our own entity later?
My country isn't listed. Can you help?
Probably. 65 more countries are available on request beyond the 110 published. Ask us.
How are you different from other EOR providers?
Flat published pricing for every country, from $399 with the full directory on this page, and employment as our core business: we already legally employ the professionals embedded at 100+ companies.
What does my hire experience?
A genuine local employment contract with statutory benefits and protections. Real employment: contract, benefits, dignity.
